BROKEN TIMES for string quartet was premiered in Saint Petersburg back in 2015 at the Modern Museum of Art. Since recorded and published on DivineArt in 2019 and among others reviewed by BBC Music Magazine given four stars. Athelas Ensemble will premiere BROKEN TIMES in Tehran at the Niavaran Cultural Center (situated in north Tehran under beautiful snow covered Elborz mountains)
Program to include: Legendary Iranian female composer Fozie Majd, Amir Bakan and the great danish romantic Carl Nielsen string quartet. The evening will include a presentation of IN ABSENTIA published by Mahoor music publications. during the days Athelas will give a workshop of young iranian composers at Rishe dar Khak School of Music.
